Dubai-basedAMEAPowerhaswonacontracttobuildtwosolarpowerplantsinMoroccoastheNorthAfricancountrycontinuestoboostitsrenewablesportfolio.
ThesolarprojectswereawardedtoAMEAPoweraspartofalargeinternationaltenderlaunchedbytheMoroccanAgencyforSustainableEnergy(Masen)andtheMinistryofEnergyTransitionandSustainableDevelopmenttoconstructthefirstphaseofthemultisitesolarenergyNoorPVIIprogramme,whichhasatotalcapacityofmegawatts.
Aspartofthecontract,AMEAPowerwillbuildtwosolarplantswithacapacityof36megawattseach,atTaroudant,intheSouss-Massaregion,andinElHajeb,intheFes-Meknesregion,statenewsagencyWamreportedonWednesday.
